Hi all,
Im hoping you can help me diagnose/cure my ibook problem. I think it's either the lcd itself, or the display cable. The ibook seems to boot fully, and the backlight comes on (I think so anyway, the screen gradually goes white) but all that appear are lines on the LCD. The number and configuration of the lines is different every boot.
Most problems with this screen seem to come from the backlight, am I correct in assuming that the backlight is ok, since the screen lights up?
If that is the case, is there an easy way to determine if its the lcd itself, or the cable?
Lastly, where can I go to replace the damaged part(s)? This is for a ibook photo frame project. The dissassembled computer was moved while I was on vacation, and now the display problem. Is it static damage?
Thanks for any help!

Update:
Turned it on this afternoon to find that Im now getting intermittent display. Mostly horizontal lines, but occasionally a jumping image of the desktop, sometimes doubled top and bottom. Considering buying another ibook or ibook display off of ebay. Any ideas?
PS, tried the cables already, thank you for the advice.
Hey, I;m having now similiar problem.
I have the little bit old now iBook Indigo (FireWire) - without HD, kbd and trackpad, but it works - turns on, the boot sound appears, and seems to be booting from CD (it's reading and reading the disc...) - but NO VIDEO on LCD!
The Display from start is still white - no other signs - only the full white screen
And I also noticed that the LED under the LCD doesn't work (if thid little round area is a space for LED, but I'm almost sure it is). After unpluging the video cable it's the same
Any ideas? Help? Suggestions?
I hope it's not the onboard video injury...
