I've read some of the post on this forum and you guys are making it hard on your selves. There are two ways that I know of to sucessfully run OSX for ppc on Intel or AMD. The first a freind of mine accomplished by using a ppc emulation extension for arch linux, this alows him to run OSX on his athlonXP very smoothly, he primarily uses it to write code for ppc, since is newest real mac is a wallstreet powerbook, remember those? the other I use for more or less the same reason but inmstead of using Linux and takeing up extra hdd space for a tri-boot machine I downloaded pearpc ppc emulator and development kit, installed it and wrote my own config file to use OSX, it runs like a dream and emulates integrated video because it dosent suppport my Geforce 6600 card. My box is an Athlon64 3400+ with 512mb of RAM and a 200gb hdd.

i'm not pirateing, the copy of OSX i use i purchased and is registered and does nowere apple state that what i'm doing is piracy. And i'm using it to develop new ppc code not just as a joy ride to prove i can what i am doing is legit. Although i agree with you piracy is wrong and should be stopped, i am not a pirate myself.
if you bought os x in the store, it is PPC build only. so unless your using pearpc, your not going to run it on 86 chips
His first post does say he's using PearPC.
PearPC is an impressive bit of work, but it's still pretty slow compared to running OS X (somewhat) natively on Intel.
Emulation rarely provides the horsepower to do 'real' work outside of word processing. I think most of the fun in running a different platform on your computer is the 'because you can' factor.
This is true about the "because i can" factor but i find it fun to try and develop code for ppc. although it might not be worth it now cause of the switch to intel, i'm still gonna try and get a ppc iBook before they are turned intel too.
