I bought this without the power supply. I figured it would say on the device... and it does, I just don't understand it.
Usually, I think of these kinds of power supplies in terms of whether the post is positive or negative, and what the voltage is.
Can some one please decipher this for me? Or if someone has one... could they check and see what their wall wart says?
Many thanks.
it means you can use just about any wall wort rated for anywhere from 8-16 volts.
Its one of those little round ones with a post... I know they can be either positive or negative...
Come on, Dr. Bob... which one, ya think? Positive post or negative?
I do have a number of the similar 2-port etherwave LT-ethernet adapters. Those have a similar power requirement, with the power feed center positive. I'm 97.24% confident you can try that config without frying the iPrint. As for my 2.76% doubt, I'll let you be the judge . . .

Well... I have a feeling that one of either (positive post, negative post) is going to be way more common among all electronic devices... and I'll bet its the more common one. If that matches up with your 97.24%, then I think I'm golden. Thanks.
Most gear I've seen has positive post, negative sleeve. I've only seen a few odd ducks that use the reverse -- and most of them had a nonstandard connector.
12V 800mA, positive center post. I did however manage to break my iPrint by connecting an AC supply to it by mistake, do not do that to yours!!!
a definative answer! Thanks much. (Sorry about your iPrint, ouch!)
I've got to spell it out? OK take the cover off and look at the connector. One terminal will be connected to the ground plane ont he PCB and likely any metal around the enclosure. This is the negative terminal.
