Has anybody else watched the Season Two episodes of LOST on ABC? The crazy guy in the underground... whatever it is has a 16 year old Apple computer. I think it's an Apple I, but I don't know much about anything that predates an SE.
Anybody else see it & know what it is?
Its probally a IBM. Apples were never grey.
I haven't seen it, but I think that it won't be an Apple I, an Apple II maybe. Does someone have a screen capture?
I am in the UK, and we are only half way through series one. But I can assure you Apples were once the same grey colour as all other computers. I had and apple IIe and it was grey. I guess I will have to wait till next year to check it out
I've seen it now, it's an Apple II.
... how did you get that .avi file to play in QuickTime? QuickTime Pro?
I get an error every time I try to open them in QT, so I've resorted to using VLC player to view them. It works ok, but the controls are pretty lacking compared to QT Player.
Actually it's an Apple II Clone with an Apple III Monitor and an Apple Monitpor stand:
Actually it is an Apple II+.
Check the filename in the screenshot...it's an XviD file (similar to DivX).
You can get the XviD codec for X here: http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/
.avi is a rather generic file extension; you need to know what the file was compressed with to know what you'll need to play it.
Yes, yes, it is an Apple II+. I've had at least four of the greasy little things at one time. Crazy little machines they are. I was just admiring some of the antiquity in my collection the other day. the old RF modulator for the II+ made me smile when I found it -- again.
