dc-in board g3 300mhz clamshell ibook - will a 500mhz one fit?

as the title states. the dc-in board on my 300mhz clamshell ibook is broken! will one from a 500mhz ibook fit/work (i.e. is it the same part?)? thanks!

Thee dc-in board for the iBook (Dual USB) 500 mhz is a completely different assembly than the one used on the 300-466 mhz clamshell series. The 500 mhz model utilizes a cable going from the dc-in board to the logic board.
