neighbors

i got these neighbors that are calling the city on everything we do eventhough we have permits for all of it. It is now time for action and i want to know if there are any of you with ideas on how to annoy them with out doing anything illegal. :ebc:

MIT hacks

Just keep an eye on forums where lots of smart high school teens hang out. With graduation dates coming up there will be posts of senior pranks all over the place. If you can't wait for the prank stories to start rolling in then look at hacks.mit.edu for ideas, you might find something there you like (I know one of my 12th grade friends has). The downside to looking there for ideas is that most of them require a large dome.

Googling senior or high school pranks might work too.

If you want something quick and easy I'd get a tarp and paint a friendly message - like "This is not illegal" or "Stop bugging us" then get some rope and drape it off the side of the house for them to see. Add a couple really bright worklights running all night...

If they park in the street a fake street sign and pile of fake parking tickets could be nice as well.

Or start suggesting in those

Or start suggesting in those forums that some of the senior's pull certain pranks at a certain address that may or may not just happen to be next door to you...

I did have a conscience once... it was quite tasty with with some fava beans and a nice chianti. Wink

Next Christmas, plug your out

Next Christmas, plug your outside Christmas lights into one of their outlets. Make sure to put lots of lights up, and bury the extension cords in snow.

Could be illegal

Most communities have sound ordinances. If his does then anyone could file a complaint, including neighbors he isn't looking to annoy.

Roosters ?

When my neighbors got a rooster, and some large ducks, I was amazed to discover that there are very few restrictions on owning livestock within the city of Los Angeles, or least there isn't very much enforcement for exsisting ordinances.

You have 2 acres. You could coop a rooster or a bunch of peacocks (from what I understand they make even more obnoxious noises) along side your neighbors property line.

Geese

Whilst I personally prefer the sound of peacocks to roosters, they sure are loud. A flock of geese would be pretty noisy too, as well as providing you with pest control, and they make fierce guard animals should anyone step over your property line.

Those $%&# peacocks!

I once took a programming course at a school (those of you living in Dallas may know which one) that keeps a flock of peacocks on their campus. Those things are so annoying and are probably the reason I learned nothing about VisualBasic (not that it matters Wink )
