The Best Kinda Super Glue?

First off, I'm guessing that this belongs here; although Super Glue serves a number of hackish type purposes as well, it's generally for maintenence on all sorts of things.

May sound like a silly question, but as youre probably aware, when one goes to hunt for "Super Glue," you'll find all sorts of things from various different manufacturers, ranging from the cheap stuff (which I tend not to touch with a 39 1/2 foot pole) to the Original, variants of the original, the Goop variant pointed toward more specific purposes, etc etc.

For a guy looking to glue a few bits plastic, whats the best solution? I'm considering JB Weld; it tends to come out grey, which would match the grey plastic I'd be working on; but Super Glue is nice to maintain a somewhat "unglued-looking" appearance. Nothing is more aggravating than to try to use one of these products, only to have the work come undone for what would seem to be undue reasons. Any suggestions?

Find out the type of plastic

Find out the type of plastic you are glueing and then get the specific glue designed for that plastic.

right - type of plastic is crucial

eg: for ABS and polycarb, you don't glue, you weld, using a solvent welder.

What's the job, or is this just a generic sort of question?

Generic Question

Yeah, it started out a generic sort of question about the glue... as I wrote I started thinking of one thing in peticular, but I think I'm gonna hold off.

Good call though, I'll remember to match the job to the stuff next time I go at somethin'.
