quick power adapter question

Will the power adapter from my DVI TiBook work on a Pismo G3 Powerbook? I'm pretty sure it won't, but I was hoping someone could confirm or deny that. Thans.

Don't think so...

IIRC the iBook's power plug looks similar but is smaller than what the G3 PBooks use. FWIW, an RCA audio/video plug would fit perfectly in the G3 powerbook's power supply (don't try it while powered up!!!!)

If your TiBook's metal surround thing is smaller than that, it won't fit a G3.

all of the g3 powerbooks can

all of the g3 powerbooks can use the same power adapter as the original ibooks i believe...i know the wallstreet can for sure.
I bought a 3rd party car and home adapter that has both size plugs for newer laptops and the older ones too

Yah but he said TiBook... which as was mentioned is the smaller plug. Unfortunately. I'll never understand why apple does this. By the same token, I'll never be surprised.

industrial design decision

Easy to understand, the TiBook form-factor is too thin to accept the larger earlier G3-style plug, hence the similar but smaller TiBook style.
