Mac SE Keyboard needed

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a keyboard for a Macintosh SE. Preferably the original one. Thanks to all in advance!

Hmm

There was no 'standard' Mac SE keyboard as such; the manual states that no keyboard was included, customers had to choose and buy their own from whatever Apple was offering at the time. Maybe you mean the small, low-end "Apple Keyboard" that a good deal of SE owners had bought?

RE: Hmm

Ah, alright. Thanks for letting me know. I'm sorry, I'm very very new to owning a Mac, so I was going on the basis of what sort of keyboard was attached to the computer in most of the pictures I've seen of them. I think what I'm looking for is this:

which, I think, is the same as this:

I want to buy the first one from top micro usa but I'm not sure yet if it comes with a cord, or if that cord is ADB (I sent an email to them last night). I found it after I posted the question though, which was embarassing because I was certain I'd looked everywhere.

That is an ABD keyboard. If

That is an ABD keyboard. If you have an ADB cable alredy it'll work fine. Old ADB keyboards are alomost a dime-a-dozen, so don't pay more than a few dollars for one.

Thank you very much for the h

Thank you very much for the help! The one at top micro is a bit pricey ($19.99), so I'll keep looking. Plus, I need to go find a cable.

Nice keyboard...

I have one of those keyboards. I got it when I bought my first Mac, a Classic II with 4MB of RAM and a whopping 40MB SCSI hard drive.

I don't have the Classic II anymore. Although, I find myself on many occasions wishing that I did. I really liked that little Mac. It was the Classic II that got me hooked on the Mac.

Anyway, I found that particular keyboard to be very good for typing. I really liked the feel of it. Not that this little rant will help you in locating the keyboard that you're after, but I think that you're making a good keyboard choice for your SE.

I think I just found one at D

I think I just found one at DigitalDinos.com

The last time I used one of these was in 8th grade (I can't remember what the Mac was, but it was a compact one), but yeah, I really enjoyed typing with it. They are great Smile
