I have an apple g3 aio,but when i turn it on it makes a loud screech from the upper back area of the computer.What should i do?

I had the same problem with a 5400/180. It turned out to be a bad cd-rom drive. I realize you said it was the upper back area but unhook your cd drive and give it a shot.
that didint work,it is coming from the power supply area on the back.
Help needed!!!i payed a lot of money and the other person said it worked,(hah!)
Fans, when losing their Lubrication, will screech.
But that dosent explain nothing on the screen.
Now im getting sparks from the mainboard and a lot of smoke!!!

Just for future reference for you (and preemptive warning to others) that I have witnessed a very high failure rate in these for no particular reason. A fair price to pay for one with keyboard and mouse is around $40.
