this post is just for the 'record' before I forget, and this is as good a place as any. One never knows when such a swap may be useful.
I swapped a dual USB iBook keyboard onto my 667 DVI PowerBook G4 Titanium tibook. While connector cable length/shape is obviously different, the connector is the same. Plugged iBook keyboard in while asleep, awoke to find iBook keyboard functionally identical to original TiBook keyboard.

Since the cable lengths/shapes differ so, it's not really practical to actually use an iBook keyboard on the TiBook. Plus, the keyboards have different latches and front edges, making it even less than a desirable swap from either direction. Keycaps are interchangable however, IIRC.

The way it connects is different. I have a Ti keyboard on my Black iBook and I had to modify it a fair amount to get it to proerly fit and latch.
I had tiBook keys on my modded 2001 ibook years ago... you deffinately were not the first to realize this. 101 (lombard) and Pismo key caps are also swapable... I have a 4-tone keyboard here made with random keys.
Except the outer most keys are bronze, and it is filled with white translucent keys.

Anyone know any specifics on the backlit keyboard. I wounder how hard it would be to put that on a TiBook. They make a 15 inch one now and its on Ebay for like 100 beans. But there's the power issue.
