Yellow dog Linux help with sound

Hey,
I just installed YDL on my G4 iBook, but I can't get sound for the life of me. Upon KDE startup there is an alsa error that states that the alsa device cannot be found...

thanks!

To quote those YDL Support Pa

To quote those YDL Support Pages:

Sound is hit & miss until the drivers can be rebuilt for the 2.6.x kernel. If the basic sound functions (system beep), it is likely individual apps may need to be configured. Please see the HOWTOs for more information.

If it doesn't at least make some sort of sound, then sound doesn't work at all, no matter what errors you are getting.
