PS/2 keyboard adapter for Platinum //e

Does anyone know if the Option 8 RetroConnector Keyboard Interface //e like this:

https://www.tindie.com/products/option8/retroconnector-keyboard-interface-for-apple-iie/#specs

works with a Platibum //e?  I have a Platinum //e with a keyboard that is basically unsalvageable.  I have the motherboard, case, power supply...

Not sure if I would need to swap out the keyboard encoder ROM to an original style //e one to make this work.

According to the instructions

According to the instructions here:

You don't need to do anything special.

Ah...  I had to re-read

Ah...  I had to re-read carefully.  I had searched that page for "Platinum" and didn't find anything.  They did however say "any model //e" So that should mean it will work with the Platinum,

Unfortunately it looks like they are out of stock on Tindie (what isn't these days).  So I guess yet again I will have to order boards and make my own...

USB not PS/2

The Tindie link is to an USB interface.  I think Option 8 shut down his Tindie store and started selling through Reactive Micro.  But not this product.  The member here microbmen seems to have made some and was selling them with Bluetooth game controllers.  A very interesting package.

USB is actually even better than PS/2 in a lot of ways since there are a lot more keyboard choices and they are usually easier to find and cheaper.
