Hi,
I'm looking for a hard copy of the book. I have a PDF copy, but when I print it out, the text is blurry and gives me a headache. I've beeing checking on eBay for the past few months. Found one being sold from HK for $370, which is out my price range.
If someone has hard copy willing to sell or can point to a very clean scan, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks
-Ven
Not a whole lot cheaper, but RM has signed NOS copies of Sather's book
Where did you get your PDF? The one here:
https://commodore.bombjack.org/apple/apple-books.htm
is an OK scan. Not perfect, but the text looked reasonably sharp enough to read even when I blew it up to 400%.
It's a book that only occasionally shows up on Amazon or eBay. Prices and condition can vary widely.
woops, double tap.
Thanks Jeff, the books sure are expensive!
I got mine from apple archive (or something like), but it seems to be the same copy.
Thx

I think the PDF I got on-line looks reasonably clean up to 400% magnification (and signed by Woz). It is stamped as having come from the University Library Bielefeld Germany.
I hope this helps.

Thanks LaserMaster, I'll check out your copy.

I looked at it, it seems like it is almost the same as the previously posted ones.
I'm wondering if I could write a script or program that would open the PDF, read the scanned bitmap and apply some filters like de-speckle and sharpen and increase contrast and then re-save to PDF. It might be something that would be useful on a lot of these archived PDF documents. For that matter, maybe such a thing already exists.
I downloaded the book from https://commodore.bombjack.org/apple/apple-books.htm and opened it with Word. It converted very nicely with clear graphics and colors (it takes a long time). The text is nice and clear, and I'm sure that printing the 520 pages would produce a very readable hardcopy.

I'd love a copy of the (unenhanced) Apple IIe one, myself. The PDF copy has already come in very handy.
