Apple profile harddisk

I was wondering how much a working profile harddrive for an apple II is worth. I am pretty sure it works, it powers up and everything, the ready light coems on, but i don't have the right hardware to test it. But, yea I am just curious how much its worth?

. . . it depends. . .

It depends. Check ebay for the current going rates. I think that I saw one there yesterday.

Also, they came in 5 and 10 megabyte sizes. Additionally, it takes a specific interface card to run one (on an Apple ][ or ]I[)

profile hard drive

do you know what kind of controller it had to have?? I have a controller that is a seagate but for an 8bit bit bus. It was in a box of Apple parts. It does have a SCSI connector on it and a very large heat sink

The ProFile Controller Card. ..

Yup, it requires the ProFile Controller Card, made by Apple Computer. This was NOT a SCSII format.

Apple Profile nostalgia

In 1984, the Apple Profile was available at Computerland for only CDN$5000.00. This gave you a large (5Mb) storage device for your Apple ///.
