iMac in SE

Hii had a post about my Imac in an SE case.
a question was asked about the monitor.
it is a black and white point of sale monitor i found on ebay but i am not sure of the brand. It does 800 x 600. so i should be able to get os X up soon as i get a working mac cd drive.
Of course if i could find a nice flat pannel color that would be better.

Depth?

Thanks for that link. Boy, the price really rockets up when it goes from the 9" grayscale to the 10" color, doesn't it?

Question - have you fit a monitor into the SE case yet? I ask because I've read that a lot of POS monitors are deeper than the SE's original CRT, requiring one to hack out part of the rear of the case.

You know I didn't even think about it.
I just found one on ebay and bought it.
Mine fit fine. One day ill get around to getting some photos done.
As they develop newer monitors they should be less and less deaper.
Don't forget to get one with a RGB as some will be security monitors and only have video in (i don't think you can get an adaptor).
There is a cool german site with a classic with a 475 motherboard and a POS monitor.
Good Luck.
Eric.
