I really need adivce on what to do. I have an emac and the screen won't come on anymore. I can hear the harddrive booting up, but nothing comes on on the screen. I brought it to the mac authorized retailer near my house for an estimate and they told me it was the analogue board and that the cost of repair would be 600$ (I live in Canada, so that would be in CAN money) Anyway... Is it worth it? I can't really afford it, but I can't really afford to go without a computer, and considering I've only had my computer for a couple of years, I'm wondering if it is better to repair or buy a new one (which is still more than twice the price of the repair)?
I need some advice...

HELP!!! Emac trouble!
If you have the original 700MHz eMac, it will likely be the IVAD cable coming loose. It's a cheap, relatively easy fix.
Try to get somebody else to look at it, otherwise... new eMacs are cheaper and better than ever.
thanks for the advice
i will bring it elswhere and suggest that this may be the problem and see what they say.
