Long story short, I've got two Newton Message pads a 110 and 120.
Unfortunately the 110's screen is broken and I'd like to fixer it, but while I'm good with most hardware projects this one is totally unknown to me.Are there experts who could provide help with how to replace the screen?
Where do the 110 hardware masters hang out?
I checked the Service Source manual, but it's useless. I guess you could learn taking apart the donor unit? If you want to document the process, it's very welcome here.
Thanks, yeah there isn't much on this. I don't know what you mean about a doner unit... you want to donate one?I'm happy to docuement the whole thing, would do that anyways because too often something is forgotten between cracking it open and closing it up. Recordings have saved me a few times. =)
I don't think I own a 110, actually. By "donor unit" I meant that, to fix the screen, I expected you were going to buy an ordinary 110 to swap the screen out.
