I am also a big Amiga user, and I use compact flash for my hard disks. I have one of the CFFA3000's on order. For my Amiga, I can use WinUAE, and install the OS onto the CF using the CF reader in my PC, then just move it over into the Amiga, and it runs like it was installed in the real Amiga. Can I do this with an emulator, for an Apple IIGS, or an Apple IIE? Put the CF in my PC, run an emulator, and install everything, then just put the CF in my Apple, and be done? Thanks.

The current CFFA3000 firmware will only "see" things in the root directory. So one good way to do what you're after would be to install your emulator in a subdirectory of the CF or USB media, and point it back at the images in the root directory. That would work, and would keep the CFFA3000 from accidentally finding a file that it thinks is a disk image but really isn't.
About the only reason you'd need to use an emulator for the Apple II would be to set up hard drive images for either the //e or GS. If you've already got disk images of Apple II software on your PC you can just transfer those to the CF card and run them on the Apple II from the CFFA 3000. The main thin you'll want to make sure of is that you don't set up any sub-directories on the CF card, as the CFFA 3000 currently only sees the root level of the CF card.
