A series of fortunate events?
Someone who saw my list of old Macintosh and related Yard Sale items mentioned this site, which I would have already known about, except for being far too busy to ever sit down and browse the WWW. I spend most of my time developing effects for video editing. I barely have time for my photography.
Now I have a place where someone who actually plunked down $3,000 for the original Macintosh (128K) and a printer might be appreciated. The funny part is that the ImageWriter I far outlived the original Mac (which I sold to a friend) and worked right up until someone outlawed serial ports on Macs (and yes, I put one of those Griffin serial port adapters into my PowerMac G4 instead of the modem). Recently, in an effort to move old things out, I donated that sturdy (Epson) ImageWriter I to someone who carried it off to Tanzania, where they had a need for working printers that connected to old Macs, and so it lives again (ink cartridges were still OK -- and can be reinked -- and the print head still had all 9 pins functioning!).
Check out my Yard Sale (a.k.a. what remains of my collection) (updated sporadically).
Our home network consists mostly of recents Macintosh machines, although I also work on that other platform, since my day job seems to depend on being everything to everybody (part of why I'm so busy).
