Farallon Fast Ethernet Nubus PN990a driver
Submitted by merkava on August 2, 2005 - 2:51pm
Hi,
I just got a Farallon Nubus fast ethernet, part number 990a (smc chip, NOT 3com chip).
Installed it in a AWS 9150/120 (upgraded to 280mhz G3). Nubus card is detected, but I have no drivers for it!
I've searched on proxim, but there are no downloads for this particular card.
Does anyone have the drivers for this card??
Thanks!
Farallon FTP site
Go here:
http://www.maximumdebian.org/docs/mirrors/macdrivermuseum/network.html
and scroll down to Farallon. There's an FTP link. Maybe it still works.
here you go
I couldn't spot it out there anywhere either, so . . .
It's always on my Carracho/Hotline server in the drivers/network,modems/Farallon/ dir and I also put it temporarily here. Hopefully, this is the file you need, I don't think Farallon had too many different fast enet nubus cards.
Err, and I hope nobody minds me posting this, it ain't like Farallon even really exists anymore, much less gives half a hooodaly-dyoot about where their old drivers show up.
EDIT: With an apparent release date of 11 June, 1998, here's what's in it BTW:
Installer Files
-Installer
-Farallon Script
-Network
-enet.Farallon
-EtherTalk Phase 2
Utilities
-CheckNET
-Fast Nubus Config
There're no docs describing which cards it supports.

Thanks!
Thanks Dan, that's the driver (I'm posting from the AWS 9150).
I was lucky to spot the card (and the Sonnet G3 upgrade) on a pile of pc mobos. Cost for both: $4.50
