Need to Downsize the Collection

So I went down to the basement to start working on some projects that I have been saving all year for our Christmas break and have finally realized as I am getting older and collecting more and more projects, that I now have enough projects to work on well past my 100th birthday.  (I am 60 now, so that's about 40 years worth. :-) LOL!)   It hit me that I now need to prioritize them and start letting some of them go, so that others may share in the joy of restoring vintage Apple equipment.   So far this break I have:

-  Recapped 34 Macintosh LC power supplies.

- Recapped Analog boards for my  Macintosh 128K and 512K  units.

- Finished my  Disk II FLoppy EMU (Thanks Dave for this wonderful kit)

-  Put together another one of Joe's Computer Museum  Apple /// CPM card

- Recapped 6 Apple II power supplies for a friend of mine.

After doing all of this,  I realized I have not made a dent in all the "projects"  I have down in the basement.  My wife will be happy, and hopefully some of you folks will be too.  I have decided to list some of my "projects" over in the "For sale and Trade" forum first before putting them on eBay.  I will be cleaning out the project room over the next 2-3 days and listing stuff here in this forum for sale with what I would consider fair non-eBay prices.  If there are no takers in a week or three,  I will put in on eBay.  I am not sure what all I am going to find, as I have been collecting these for the past 25 years or so.

Oh yeah,  I am not sure if people want any ImageWriter II printers, but I have more than a dozen of them and don't need nearly that many.  I will be dragging them out and testing them and putting them up there too.  I think I even have some sealed Ribbons for them.

Hopefully, there are things that interest this community and someone can take on these projects and complete it, or stick on their shelf for a while until they come to the same realization I did over this past weekend.  :-)  LOL!

Stay tunned!

Thanks,

Jay

Jay, It is always good to

Jay,

It is always good to keep it realistic, I really respect that. I'm not sure what other Apple II projects I want to take on, but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled :)

If you happen to find a LocalTalk option card for an ImageWriter II, I could use one of those, I just haven't been keen on paying ebay price for a convenience. My printer itself is working and well cared for, it just would be nice to have it on a localtalk network.

Cheers,

Alex

I am done for day 1.  Here's what I have up for grabs so far....

Now remember most of these were purchased as projects and are in need of help to get them functional again (or just buying for parts). I had these sitting around for a while.

I am not asking eBay prices for these and am willing to negotiate if you see something you can't live without.  Also, please ask me any questions about anything you see and I will do my best to answer them.

I understand shipping on these heavy items will be costly, which is why I am willing to accept offers for them.  I don't want to see these go into landfill as they may have some use for people in the hobby.

.  I am willing to pack anything up properly and ship it to make sure it makes it to you in one piece.

I will also look for the most reasonable shipping possible as all three carriers are near me.   FedEx, UPS, and USPS.

I have described things as best I can, but like I said above,  if you want to know more, just ask.

Here is a link to the pictures.   DOWNSIZE

May be good timing as I just

May be good timing as I just shared a picture of my IWII sheet feeder but don't have the printer. So I may be interested in an IWII including the non working platinum on the right. Where are you at so I can take a guess if shopping is a killer?

BTW I was curious why you recapped soooo many LC supplies. I can't imagine a need for quite that many. :)

Hi Jeff butler pa 16002 lol.

Hi Jeff

butler pa 16002

lol.  I have about 20 lc, lc II, lc III, and lc 475 units that I inherited. At least they're all recapped. Lol.

Let me know if you find the cheapest shipping and I'll ship it that way I have no problem doing it because I am near all three of the major carriers.

Thanks,

'J.
