Vulcan board with Hard drive

Hey all,

I have a vulcan HD controller board, but the harddrive / power supply / fan thingie has been lost to time.

Is there anything that can be done with this board?

If not, I would be willing to swap for other interesting Apple II / Apple I things.

The Vulcan controller can be

The Vulcan controller can be used with a Compact Flash. It’s a lot faster with a CF than it was with a hard drive.

You’d have to power the CF adapter with a power supply or modify the Vulcan to provide power to it.

For the CF there’s 3 ways to go. You can find one of the CFs supported by the Vulcan utilities. There’s a Linux utility that’ll format any CF. An easier way to go is to use a utility to copy a Disk Image of a Vulcan CF onto a CF
