I am on a golf game binge and have an original disk for the Apple II Avalon Hill Tournament Golf game. I bought this game back in 1980s and remember having fun playing it. But now the game disk will not boot and I cannot play this game. I've looked for a disk image at many Apple II disk repositories and cannot find this one. Anyone out there have a disk image of Avalon Hill Tournament Golf for the Apple II? Thanks!

Do you know if it is copy protected? Have you tried to make a backup copy while it was working?
I believe it is copy protected. I've found that copy protected diskettes are more likely to stop working over the years. My other diskettes that did not have copy protection (e.g. Beagle Bros diskettes) are working fine after 30+ years. I've stored my diskettes in Flip n File-type storage containers which has helped keep them in good shape. I have a few different Apple II computers with many diffferent Disk II drives. I think one of my older Disk II drives may be out of calibration such that some of my copy protected diskettes become damaged when used in these out of cal Disk IIs. I have not tested all my Disk IIs so it is just a theory on my part.
I'd really like to find a disk image of the Tournament Golf game so that I can play this game again. I'd even purchase the game again, but I have not been able to find this Apple II golf game for sale anywhere. Does anyone know where to get another diskette of this game or a disk image that I can use with my FloppyEmu? Thanks.
Put write protect tapes on the diskette. Then can you try to make an image with ADTPro despite it is damaged and upload it somewhere? Can you try to verify the diskette with Locksmith 6.0 and even try to make a backup with its [X] DSK RECOVER ? You can try with different DISK II drives -- the results may differ. Just make sure drive head is clean otherwise dirty head usually scrathes and damages diskettes' surface and the recording goes away with the damaged magnetic surface. You can visually inspect the condition of your diskette by looking at its magnetic surface window. Dirty heads usually leave concentric traces.
