I thought the platinum has only 2 ram chips, not 8.

its a classic //e bottom with a platinum case. I got it that way.

Is that a stock or overclocked TWGS? Those GALs seem warm.

8Mhz but I have an external button to with to 16Mhz. The visual representation is not necessarily of dark=very cold, white=very hot. The GALs are still cooler than my body temperature. The SMD LS245 on the other hand can easily be felt as very warm by touch.
