Documentation on graphics for the //e & //c, (Double-HiRes)
is somewhat of a mystery. It is not well documented or written
about like its popular predecessor hi-res graphics
A blog has now started with 6 tutorials (thus far - more to come I hope)
explaining the inner details of hardware and how double-hires operates.
Below is the link for your enjoyment and reading pleasure.

Hey, I'm the owner of Battlestations. I noticed AppleFritter coming up on my http referrer logs and I wanted to keep people over here updated. However you got your post up before I could get an AppleFritter account
Thanks for keeping people here posted. Feel free to ask questions here on or my site. I'll try and keep up.
Hi Jonathan,
Billiant! Thanks for taking the time to write this up and share it. Great to see this information in one place and documented so well. Looking forward to your follow ups.
It's a shame you chose a third party to handle your blog comments where users have to create an account first. It put me off from adding a comment directly to your blog.
Cheers,
Alex.
Hey Lukazi,
The Disqus option was chosen pretty much randomly. Would people here rather see a Facebook comment field? or just the plain blogger one?
Thanks for the feedback,
J.
For me, the blog. I don't do facebook.
Since I've had a few votes for "not Disqus" and that nobody will be inconvenienced by switching - as there are currently zero comments. I've moved back to blogger comments. Anonymous posts are currently off but let me know if that's a problem.
I've got a good 20% of post 8 done. My internal deadline is May 27th...well since I've told all of you I guess it's not exactly "internal" anymore.
In case anyone is wondering the 6502 code highlighter I use was written by me. There were no highlighters which did 6502 assembly out-of-the box and getting any of the existing engines to work on Blogger was frustrating. Plus I'd still have to code a template for 6502! Not to mention, most of those engines use regular expressions which, while convenient are also overkill for what I'm doing. Anyway the reason I brought this up is that I made some changes which I'll tryout in post 8. Namely the ability to highlight sections of code. You can see a sample here.

Also I've fixed the bug with the zebra effect which was broken under Firefox. Feel free to post bugs and feature requests here on in the blog comments.
I apologize for the delay. Summer is paradoxically my busiest time of year. Part 8 is up and I have some work done on part 9.

Part Nine - is now up, where I tie everything together with a nice API.
I've also started using the domain http://battlestations.zone - all the old links to my previous (and somewhat pretentious) domain http://lastrationalman.blogspot.com will get redirected.
