So i bought a new logicboard (on ebay of course, $180) and now the computer works perfectly fine. The only issue is that the battery connector would spark and smoke when it was connected to the old logic board. So i threw that out because i didn't want it to fry my new functioning one. I bought a new battery connector on ebay that says it is used but it guaranteed not to be DOA or have any functional problems. Should I be concerned about this frying my logic board? Is there any chance the battery is the issue? The laptop is being repaired after a 13 year old spilt soda on it so almost all parts were broken. Thanks!!
