Apple IIGS Ejects 3.5 Disks On Startup Why???

Hi I just recently went to use my IIGS after not using it for about a year and for whatever reason when I try to boot a 3.5 disk on startup using a 3.5 800k drive A9m0106 it lights up for a second and then kicks out the disk a second later. I have tried this with 2 seperate 800k drives not connected to eachother (The ones with the daisy chain connector on back by the way) and it always just kicks the disk out right on startup.. Why so? I dont remember even having this problem before.

This is even stranger.. I have another 3.5 800k drive the same as the others a model A9m0106 but it's an earlier version that doesnt have the daisy chain connector on back and it actually tries to read the disks but the disk apparently I  have errors on them and it doesnt boot them all the way.

Why is it the ones with the daisy chain connectors just instantly kick the disks out and it doesn't seem to try to read them at all?

It's a 2GS with ROM 03

Thanks

I'll have to try it out on my

I'll have to try it out on my system, but I am pretty sure it kicks out disks that it doesn't recognize at boot.  I would suspect bad disks...
