So how many registered members do you have? I've seen user#'s go up to 4500 ca. And apparently I'm user #9 Acute

Number Of Users

A quick check of the database shows 4859 users. Of course, I don't really have any stats on how many are active, as that'd just go beyond a quick query. At the moment, I don't see user numbers as being an indication of how long you've been here, since we transferred all the old users from AF 1.0. I'm not sure the order this was done in though.

I'm pretty sure it was done in order of AF 1.0 user number, which was based on date of registration.

Don't Think So

It couldn't be in order of AF 1.0 signup, not fully anyway. For a while when AF 2.0 went online, you had to manually sign up, I was one of the original few to have to do it manually. After that I think the rest of the database got transfered in chronological order. I say this because AF was well past 6 members when I signed up.

Yeah I think it was done like that, except some of the people who registered for the new forums while they were still in "sandbox". These users were given the lower numbers (like you and me), because there is no way I was the 14th person registered on the old forums Wink

Hover your mouse over your username under one of your posts, the link should be something like:

http://www.applefritter.com/user/view/540

That's yours so you are user number 540!

heh

I was responsible for writing the code to migrate the users, and I'm pretty sure I picked a random really high number for the IDs of the 'old users' to start at, because I didn't want the hackish code to overwrite anyone. I think I added the old users based on the order they appeared in the directory of the old AF 1.0 site Blum 3 (they were just thousands of individual text files!) so I can't guarantee they're in any particular order. They might be alphabetical?
