I recently read an old article that spoke of a company called BookWares that sold leather covered and burlwood bookcovers for PB 1400s. Does anyone remember this? Does anyone know where I could get my hands on one? I have googled it with no luck.

i looked all over for one of those, i wanted the solar panel one that would charge youre pb(really) but i couldnt find anything but pictures of any of them, youre best luck would be ebay probably. and you would probably have to buy a whole pb just to get a bookcover
for $175 on eBay. yeeha!

On ebay I occasionally see the leather and wood covers, just gotta be persistant to find 'em though.

these things originally sold for anywhere between $30 and $200-300, so what they are going to go for today is probably ind blowing. I would love to have the metal--I think it was brushed aluminum--but honestly I would take what I could get. Well, I am used to getting eye strain from watching ebay--my wife loves me for it.
If anyone finds one elswhere keep on postin'. I will find one eventually and I will post here if I do.
